Euroflir Electro-Optical Systems (EOS)
Euroflir is a range of electro-optical gyrostabilized observation systems for helicopters, airplanes and UAVs.
The Euroflir EOS are equipped with latest-generation thermal cameras, HD day cameras and laser sensors, allowing them to carry out numerous military and security missions in optimal conditions. This includes theater surveillance, SAR and CSAR, coastal patrols and homeland or maritime surveillance.
Euroflir 350 is a compact upscale EOS. It provides a high-quality thermal image thanks to its latest-generation detector, plus excellent HD video images. The basic version is equipped with four sensors: a thermal camera, an HD TV camera with a continuous optical zoom, a laser telemeter and a laser pointer. Euroflir 350 can track mobile targets, designate important areas for the pilot, generate an automatic terrain scanning for search and rescue missions and provide information on sighted targets. The Euroflir 350 is used on Sagem’s Sperwer Mk.II tactical UAVs – which are deployed in Afghanistan by several allied forces including France’s and on the ALAT’s AS532 Cougar helicopters and the French Armed Forces’ EC725 Caracal.
Euroflir 410 is modular optronic EOS that can integrate several different sensors: a 3-5µm or 8-12µm thermal camera, an HD color TV camera, a laser telemeter, a laser designator, a laser pointer, a laser illuminator and a low light level camera. Euroflir 410 can be adapted to all mission types and airborne applications. It can track mobile targets and carry out laser designation for combat helicopters. Euroflir 410 is used on the NATO Helicopter Management Agency program’s NH90 helicopters, the Nordic Standard Helicopter Program’s helicopters for naval missions and CSAR and the French Navy’s AS565 Panther.
